Your thoughts

ABK_041, originally uploaded by dave_mdavis.

I have noticed lately that I am tending to shoot things with something in the foreground. I am really enjoying depth of field for some reason. I know this is nothing new and nothing really all that technical, but it feels good to me. What are your thoughts, is this photo appealing to anyone else?

Hi sweets.
I love depth of field too as you know. The only thing that stands out that might be too strong is that the flower in the foreground takes up exactly 1/2 the photo. I think I'd cut it down to about 1/3 at least. What do you think? Other than, that, I like it. In landscaping terms, we call it 'partially revealed views.' It brings the observer in giving them a taste of what's to come and a thirst for more.
