Alaska's Best Kitchens

ABKJudy, originally uploaded by dave_mdavis.

I had another great chance to go out and shoot a few kitchens for the mag today. I really enjoyed this kitchen as it had some character. Not really sure what will happen from here but I liked this angle alot. It is getting late so this one is hot off the card, no edits. By the way, if the color looks off let me know, this old PC monitor I am using just is not as nice as the Mac laptop I had.

Hey buddy, stuff is looking good. I like the hot tub shot for some reason, nicey nice. Anyways you asked about the settings on that food shoot. Basically I stopped way down for most of the stuff. I was shooting at about 1000 ISO, between 2.8 - 5.6, and occasionally using my 50mm 1.4. In a place like that you really want to just expose for the highlights. A big part of it is also to wait for your subject to come into the light.
